Gary Snyder on NPR

Just heard this interview. It should be available a bit later at this link:

Poet Gary Snyder has hung with the Beats, studied Buddhism, worked as a logger and he's still going strong. He talks with NPR's Linda Wertheimer about his new collection, This Present Moment.

Always said he was my favorite living beat, I adored Richard Brautigan and like Gregory Corso (just won a 2nd place IBPC regarding him and Peggy G) but the last time i heard him, Kenny he was an old tired and sort of nasty man. Wants poets to get paid (who doesn't but DUH) it is not like a poem can get made into a movie...........

Thanks for this, I voted for your poem last month, sorry it didn't go through.

Yep. I understand. Many get a bit strange with age -- Ray Bradbury, Donald Hall, etc. etc.

    exactly.
MEN do through a "change" of some kind. Look at Bill Cosby, he was a racist hated, whites, nasty, but then he mellowed with the father thing and then went into the craziness.

    ICK

    Men get grumpy.

    thanks
